• Learning Disabilities and ADHD - powerful resources and research addressing reading research and strategies for  students with ADHD. Resources within this section provide information and advice on what parents and educators can do to help students with LD gain reading skills.  (ES, MS, HS)
• Academic Literacy Instruction for Adolescents (MS, HS) We may use this as a "book study";  it is a comprehensive look at effective literacy instruction for grades 4-12.

Uncategorizable -- yet important and valuable -- Resources

• The English Companion - a very comprehensive website supporting teachers at all levels. The "Featured Links" column on the right-hand side of the website is most valuable.  My favorite section is The Weekly Reader.
• Schools of California Online Resources for Educators offers a look at California's aligned curriculum. See "In the Classroom" for their Phonics Link (which has activities for phoneme awareness, phonics, and vocabulary)and "The Activity Bank" which offers activities for journaling, graphic organizers, and rubrics).  (ES, MS, HS)
